9/11 Ground Zero Memorial - 10 Year Anniversary
GO SOULAR was present at the Ground Zero Memorial in New York City on Sept 11th, 2011 to share in the 10-year anniversary tribute to honor the thousands of heroes lost and involved in 9/11.
Our intention was to simply show up, pray, hold the loving consciousness, be with the people, gently take in the enormity and impact this has had, and continues to have on so many lives, and to be there in prayerful service to all those loving souls present, in visible and invisible form.
The 9/11 Memorial, at the site of the former World Trade Center complex, occupies approx ½ of the 16-acre site, and features two enormous waterfalls and reflecting pools, each about an acre in size, set within the footprints of the original twin towers, with 2,982 names inscribed in bronze along the reflecting pools.
Hurricane IRENE Service Trip - Sept 12-15, 2011
GO SOULAR traveled to New Jersey to help with IRENE Hurricane relief and recovery efforts on Sept 12 - 15, 2011. We partnered with "NECHAMA", a Jewish Disaster Recovery group. Similar to our other service trips, we began each day with prayer, meditation and setting personal intentions, and then headed out to the worksite to serve in whatever way we were asked, from a selfless, loving and willing place. We look forward to serving with NECHAMA again in the future.
